What Makes Our Approach Unique

Our programs aren’t simply services — they’re stepping stones.

We provide:

  • Stability during life’s most vulnerable moments
  • Encouragement grounded in dignity and respect
  • A sober environment with clear expectations
  • Opportunities to grow personally and spiritually
  • A supportive community committed to accountability

Our goal is to help each man move from crisis… to stability… to independence.

Transitional Housing

Our 16-bed home offers a clean, sober, and structured environment for men experiencing homelessness, early recovery, or reentry after incarceration. Residents have access to support, stability, and a safe place to rebuild.

Recovery-Friendly Environment

Sobriety is a core requirement.
Daily expectations, peer accountability, and a steady routine help residents maintain recovery while developing the discipline and confidence to move forward.

Reentry Support

For men transitioning back into society after prison, we provide structure, routine, and a supportive community. Residents receive guidance in securing employment, rebuilding healthy habits, and moving toward permanent housing.

Life Skills & Accountability

From chores and curfews to meetings and daily responsibilities, residents learn essential habits that prepare them for long-term independence. Our structured environment encourages consistency, responsibility, and personal growth.

Providing structure, support, and a stable foundation for men committed to rebuilding their lives.

At the St. Francis – St. Joseph Catholic Worker House, every service we offer is designed to help men regain stability, maintain sobriety, and move toward independent living.

Our structured environment, peer support, and life-skills focus create a foundation where long-term change becomes possible.

Employment & Stability Guidance

Residents receive support securing identification, employment resources, budgeting guidance, and steps needed to move toward financial independence.

Community & Fellowship

House meetings, shared meals (when available), peer support, and community involvement create an atmosphere of connection and belonging.

Faith & Spiritual Support

While participation is never required, residents have access to optional opportunities for prayer, reflection, and spiritual encouragement rooted in Catholic Worker values.
