Who Is Eligible to Apply?

We accept men who meet the following criteria:
 
  • Are currently homeless or without stable housing
  • Are committed to living in a sober environment
  • Are reentering society after incarceration or working through early recovery
  • Are able and willing to follow house expectations
  • Are motivated to build stability and work toward independent living
  • Are prepared to participate in meetings, chores, and community responsibilities

Our home is best suited for individuals who are ready to take meaningful steps toward personal growth and long-term stability.

What Daily Life Looks Like

Life at the Catholic Worker House

Residents live in a clean, sober, and structured environment designed to support a stable routine. While specific expectations may vary, most days include:
 
  • Morning responsibilities and house routines
  • Job search or employment-related activities
  • Required house meetings
  • Chores and shared responsibilities
  • Peer support and community involvement
  • Curfews and accountability checks

This structure helps residents build habits that support independence, sobriety, and long-term success.

Expectations & Community Standards

Shared Responsibility & Personal Commitment

All residents are expected to:
 
  • Maintain sobriety (drug and alcohol use is strictly prohibited)
  • Participate in house meetings and activities
  • Complete daily chores and shared responsibilities
  • Respect fellow residents and staff
  • Follow curfews and house guidelines
  • Actively work toward employment or stability goals

These expectations create an environment where trust, safety, and personal growth can thrive.

Transitioning to Independence
